At the time of his death Casey Jones was living in Jackson, Tennesse,
about 90 miles east of Memphis.
The actual house that he was living in at the time, as well as other
artifacts related to his life and tragic death have been preserved
at the Casey Jones Museum in Jackson. The museum includes
Casey's house, a steam engine similar to Casey's number 638, a scale
model of the siding at Vaughn and a short video presentation
about Casey and his life. There is also a gift shop where you can purchase
various railroad memorabilia. If you ask at the gift shop they might
even direct you to the local cemetary where Casey makes his last
resting place.
